The Rhondda Fach Community Hub officially launched on 11 July 2019 – read more here.

Based in the former Ferndale Infants school, the ‘Hwb’ provides the community with childcare through the anchor organisation Fern Partnership, library services and space for groups and individuals to use including wi-fi and an IT suite.

The Hwb will also be a point for information, advice and assistance for local residents and is part of the wider ‘Community Zone’ work. As the anchor organisation for the Hwb, Fern Partnership will be responsible for supporting and developing the community network within the area, helping to grow local services for residents of all ages and circumstances.

Louise Clement, community coordinator for the area, is working to strengthen community development and establishing neighbourhood networks.
