As came through strongly in the Well-Being Assessment, people are very proud of the area, the landscape and heritage that makes Cwm Taf unique. Tourism is a growth area for the economy for the region and we are working to ensure we make the most of this.
In our first year, we undertook the first joint diagnostic review of the area. We engaged with hospitality and leisure providers to understand their working practices, training and skills needs, support requirements.
In year two, we will use these findings to identify opportunities for support and any gaps, now and in the future. We will explore opportunities to work with schools, colleges and training providers to strengthen the tourist sector here in Cwm Taf.
We will work closely as one body across the region, exploring ways of integrating with initiatives such as the Valleys Regional Park to create a Cwm Taf visitor experience, with a bespoke supporting web presence.
We will also continue to make the most of our fantastic assets and green spaces and active community groups, maximising the impact that these can have on our well-being.
