As part of its Public Sector Equality Duty under the 2010 Equality Act, every four years Cwm Taf Morgannwg must produce a Strategic Equality Plan which sets out what it intends to do to meet it's duty under the act to:

- Eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation and other conduct prohibited by the Act.

- Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not.

- Foster good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not.

The scope of the SEP covers the protected characteristics named in the act, which are Age, Disability, Race, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Religion or Belief, Gender Identity, Marriage or Civil Partnership and Pregnancy or Maternity.

The Draft SEP 2020-2024, which is attached to this message, shows how the Health Board proposes to move forward in these areas over the next four years, however, now is your chance as a member of staff to have your say and contribute to the conversation.
